Kevan Spencer

Group Commercial Director

At 48, Kevan’s corporate experience spans the last 26 years, initially with British Aerospace Dynamics Division while pursuing a parallel career as single-seater racing driver sponsored by Japanese corporate giants Fuji.

During the 1990’s in several national sales and marketing roles with major blue chips that included Rockwool and Rochling.

During the period 1999 to 2001, Kevan joined Plastex International to maximise the company's divestment value during its acquisition by British Industrial Plastics. Following successful divestment, Kevan was retained by BMJ International (the Plastex parent company) to manage their diversification and reinvestment into commercial property.

 

In 2001, Kevan led the successful acquisition of a 73 acre industrial site in Gloucestershire from Xerox. During the five years that followed, Kevan managed the regeneration of the ‘Vantage Point’ site into the highly successful business that it is today. Vantage Point is now home to more than 100 businesses, employing over 2,000 people and occupying in excess of 1 million sq/ft of industrial space and 250,000 sq/ft of office space.            
 
Following an approach by Mike Jordan during 2007, Kevan successfully joined the Acura board in September in the role of Commercial Director. In a parallel agreement with BMJ International, Acura was concurrently retained in an advisory role to manage the sales and marketing of the BMJ International businesses.           
 

A highly capable negotiator and decision maker with polished sales, marketing, development and strategic planning skills, Kevan’s track record in general management, property development and complex property leasing structures made him a particularly important acquisition for Acura.  

 
Having successfully completed the Acura contract with BMJ International, Kevan has now resumed a role as Group Commercial Director and will be supporting Mike Jordan in the development and growth of Acura’s diverse business interests.
