In 2007, Acura Investments was approached by the existing management of Clive Christian SL to undertake a review of their Spanish retail business.
Following a detailed review, Mike Jordan joined the Clive Christian SL (CCSL) board and Acura acquired a major stake late in 2007. Since this time, Acura has continued to acquire a growing share of equity in the business, and CCSL will be a wholly owned subsidiary by the first quarter of 2010.
Acura is now in the process of implementing a complete restructuring of the CCSL business, with a relocation to the world famous Marbella Club, and initiation of a highly proactive sales & marketing strategy. A brand new showroom will be installed and operational at the Marbella Club summer of 2010. Acura is determined to make the Marbella store the best Clive Christian showroom in the world. Furthermore, Acura will establish the first Clive Christian Boutique within a interiors showroom, displaying Clive Christian perfumes, handbags, silk scarves, and further enhancing the Brand and sales platform.
Acura is also in the process of implementing plans to establish new Clive Christian retail stores in Madrid, Barcelona, Majorca and the Algarve.
Since the late 1980’s when Clive Christian Limited first established its United Kingdom based furniture manufacturing business, the Clive Christian brand has been rapidly developed into the world class brand that it is today. Initially, solely UK based, Clive Christian chose to grow its business through a network of ‘franchise / distribution’ partners throughout the world. Initially best known for its bespoke kitchen furniture, Clive Christian today manufactures a complete range of fitted and freestanding furniture for all aspects of the home together with a range of ancillary cutlery and porcelain.
Today, Clive Christian boasts a retail sales presence in some 15 countries around the world, including New York, Moscow, Paris, Dubai and of course, in Spain through Clive Christian SL.
In all, the Clive Christian brand is truly recognised as a world leader in its marketplace. More importantly, for the executive home owner throughout the world, it really is the ‘must have’ product.
